Utah Scenery and Culture

Just enjoying some music videos from some famous local musicians, The Piano Guys.  Their scenery is just as spectacular as their music.  It's a great representation of our talent here as well as our great scenery.  I am sharing a few of their songs that they filmed here in our native state.

This first one is an instrumental of two songs combined: Vivaldi's Winter and Disney's Let It Go.  They filmed this at the Ice Castles in Midway, Utah.  Midway is in Northern Utah, a little town up in the mountains in the Heber Valley.  I believe they did cross country there during the 2002 Olympics.

This second song is Titanium/Piavane and was filmed in Southern Utah in Bryce Canyon National Park.  Bryce Canyon neighbors Zion's National Park, which is a short distance away from St. George.

This last one is of the Bonneville Salt Flats, located west of Salt Lake City.  The sky graphics are not natural--that will be obvious by the end of the song.

This is one of the reasons people like to travel here.  We've got such a variety that there's always something different to do here, and for the city folk, Salt Lake provides enough city life to satisfy, and no matter where in the state you go, there will always be entertainment in the performing arts.
Theatrical plays, musical, and dance performances are running in abundance year round.

Most communities in Utah have a week in the summer set aside to hold a celebration specific to that community.  Springville holds the Art City Days during the second week of June and it always ends with a parade and a fun show of fireworks.  Each community has traditional events coinciding with these celebrations, such as community musical theater performances, concerts, craft & art booths, rodeos, and other things.  Provo's Freedom Festival and Salt Lake's Days of '47 are the largest celebrations, but throughout the summer, there is always a town celebration in progress.
