The moment has arrived! Actually, I've shared a few early, because I couldn't hold it in much longer. I was trying to hold on until after Thanksgiving, but I might have put a few things out there a week or two early. It comes from months and months of working on projects and my debut has come! I'm almost into hyper mode.
For a review of anyone who doesn't have a clue what I'm talking about, some time back in July it came to me that these restrictions due to covid were going to continue during the holidays. I realized that there were things I loved doing at Christmas wouldn't happen, because of those restrictions, and along with that realized that others would be restricted from the things they would normally do also. For some strange reason I got the ambition to do something that I might be able to share that would at least partially compensate for the emptiness. Doing something ambitious always comes at a risk. There are so many times when I get excited over something I've done and no one shares in my enthusiasm. That gets to be a little bit of a let down, but the drive to do something here has kept me going despite the awareness that I might be my own cheerleader and supporter.
It took months of making music and creating short animated photo videos. I have more photos than videos, and for some strange reason I got the bright idea of animating those photos and turning them into videos. I didn't know how that would go, because it's not really what people do for video, not in the way I was doing it anyway, but I pressed on. I came up with some really nice things, and it would be wonderful if there will be at least some people who really like them also. The interesting part about creating is watching people's reactions. Often the things I really like they enjoy also, but sometimes the ones that I'm not sure about end up being people's favorites. That's the life of putting yourself out there, I guess.
I've posted a few videos on YouTube and shared a few on Facebook. So far, I'm getting great responses, at least on Facebook. I don't have many subscribers on YouTube, and I don't market my channel, so they don't get a lot of attention. There are more to come, and I'm so excited to share more, because I'm saving some of the best when the season officially kicks in after Thanksgiving.
Eek! I've got to hold on for another week.
One. Whole. Week!
I gotta contain myself here.
I'm good at staying calm.
I think. 😎
Here's one of the ones I've shared already (my friend thought it was clever):
