No Need to Wait

You know that busy can be overwhelming, but it can be beneficial as well. The latest busy work has made another turn to what is known in my world as Canning Season. My family has gardened since I remember (and even before since my grandparents grew gardens). I grew up learning the sometimes tedious work of canning foods for food storage. I'm certain there were times in my childhood when we relied on those foods to keep us from going hungry. Even now having multiple fruit trees and a few garden items, it's nice to have those foods on hand, because honestly the store food doesn't compare when it comes to flavor. So far in this past week I've canned strawberry jam, apricot-pineapple jam, and I'm now learning how to dry the apricots. There are more to come. Once the apricots are gone, we have peaches, blackberries, pears, grapes, and apples to deal with, not to mention the garden foods, especially tomatoes. It's certainly keeps me busy. The good part about all this is that it certainly helps me get to sleep easier, and now that things have improved in the caregiving territory, I'm getting better rest now.

As another side note, you'd think with all of the craziness I wouldn't have time to do my little creative projects. Not so. I've been able to do a few things. My latest project was trying to combine a few of my photos together to create a new scene. In addition to that, I attempted to animate the water again, though I think I did the movement too much again, but it's still a learning process. There's something I learn every time I try something, and I love it! Imperfect as it still might be, there's nothing more satisfying than figuring out a difficult process and as I look at the final result knowing and understanding what it took to get me to create it. It's one of my latest YouTube videos. I originally had it set to Candle on the Water, but that currently doesn't work on social media, so if you're really wanting to hear that, you only have to click on the underlined title to access the private link; otherwise, this is my newest video. It's very close to how I pictured it, so I'm quite happy with it:

I still haven't had that fun time out of the house, but you bet I know how to find the fun where I am.

I don't need to wait.
