Whew! It's been a busy time, but fun! I've been taking all of my trip photos and posting them online in the way I usually do; however, I decided to make good use of a good microphone I have and actually talk about my days, much like I do on here, but it's more limited on there, because I had to keep up with the photos. Some details were also left out, because of time, so reading on here probably gave more insight into my days than the videos, but it was still fun. I found it a little bit of a challenge, because it required talking. I had to do a whole lot of editing on the audio, because the original was full of "and" and "uh" in so many places, not to mention the large pauses I made while I was trying to figure out what to say. I suppose since I write I could go on script (that might help me be more conscious about my diction), but that probably works better for a video requiring more speaking at a time. There is one video I want to do at the end of all these videos that might require that, but not for the ones I'm working on right now.
Not only that, but I just signed myself up for another "death wish" in the choir at church. They wanted someone to sing O, Holy Night on the second verse, and I said something about it. We'll see how it's going to work. I've only done one solo before (see Courage), and that was an entirely non-serious song, so this might be a challenge, but in these situations, I'm up for a good challenge, no matter how frightening it could be. I was telling the conductor that I need to get used to singing with people around, and someone asked me if it was so that I would not shake. I told him, "Oh, I'm going to shake. It's just a matter of how I deal with it." I know myself too well. Some of the music looks challenging, but I'm all for it. At last I have someone who's willing to challenge us a little! There's nothing more satisfying than finally figuring out how to get a song to work. This is going to be a fun season.
