We went on the Sailing Ship Columbia, which is more her type of ride. We watched as the ship passed the barrel prop on the water while a seagull was perched on it. I'd seen several different birds perch on that. They certainly seem to enjoy it. We were on the side of the ship instead of the back, so I wasn't getting slapped in the head this time. I guess I was behaving this time. That won't last long. LOL. At some point while we wandered the area, we encountered Tiana walking around in her flapper dress. It was a sudden appearance, and it was crowdy, but I managed to be close enough to say, "Hi," to her, and she replied by telling me she liked my shirt; I think she could see the clear sequins sewn into it. Anyway, that was a fun quick interaction.
It was the island that did it to us. We were exploring that place, and went into areas I hadn't done before. We found the pirate cave! I wanted to know where that was, but went to other places in the island. It was closed for most of the time on my last visit, and I don't think the cave was open when I visited before, because there were still a select few covid measurements still taking place. That cave was creepy, but a fun creepy. Before we went in there, a dad went in there to check it out for his kids to make sure it was "safe" and ran out of the cave screaming, scaring his kids (in a fun way). Those of us--we were few in numbers--laughed so much at that. We had fun exploring the area. Several things were still not working, but there were plenty that were. Peeps got scared of the barrel bridge, but I crossed it. That area had a lot of fun walkways, even though I got a little disoriented, and started going back to pathway entrances I already went through. I had a good laugh over that. There was a good place for a photo op in a little canopy-ish area covered with skulls and bones, and we got a little silly there. Peeps called me dramatic in mine, but, well, might as well put some personality in some of my photos, I guess. We found the treasure, that Peeps pretended to take.

I think once we finished in that area, Peeps wanted to go on the Winnie-the-Pooh ride, so we did that, and I talked her into sampling the Tigger Tail. It is a good treat, and I'm quite finicky about marshmallow treats. I normally don't like chocolate covered marshmallows. I don't like the taste of marshmallow that much in most candies, but since they make a lot of their things onsite, I was willing to try it out; I approve of their marshmallows.
We meandered over into Galaxy's Edge for some exploration, and whew! The Rise of the Resistance line was hideous. I was not going to get in there at that time, so we wandered over to the Millenium Falcon area, where we debated about going on that ride. The wait time didn't look good to me, but Peeps thought we might as well go on it while we were there. Normally, I don't mind waiting in line, but that one wasn't super enjoyable for me. It may be that I was wanting to rest my legs a little longer that made it a little less enjoyable. Walking through the area that looks like the ship was fun, but both of us agree that the ride wasn't for us. Peeps said she had to watch the buttons, and keep her eyes off of the screen, because it was making her a little motion sick. I didn't have a problem with that, but I didn't like the sensation of being thrown around in my seat that much without having something on the side of me, like an arm to hold on to (even though we did have a seat belt, it still unsettled me). I always had an idea it wasn't for me; That was the main reason why I hadn't gone on it until then.
After our afternoon break, we returned back there, and finally found Rise of the Resistance at a fairly decent wait time. I really like that queue, particularly when it gets to the area around the waterfall. I love listening to the water. It was dark, and it wasn't easy to see it, but the sound was good enough for me, and it brought in a nice breeze. Peeps had a fun interaction with a little girl while we were in line, and I may have waved at her a few times. It's been too far back to remember exactly. As before, the ride was fun, and even though she's not into the new Star Wars things, she confirmed exactly what I've said before, that the ride is fun, even if you're not a huge fan.
| BB8 Keeping Busy |
We had a few pictures taken at the Millenium Falcon, but didn't stay too much longer, since I needed to take care of some things that we needed for the next day. We needed to leave early that evening anyway, because we had to get up early in the morning to catch the train for a day away.
This happened to be Mickey and Minnie's 95th Birthday, and it was a little sad that we weren't in the right places for the celebration, but we got a button out of it when we entered the park in the morning, and that made me happy enough.
