Going Forward

I know, it's been a few weeks' absence, but that was for a reason. It's been a little busy lately. A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to go to the corner of my former stomping grounds where I went to college, and discover what remains from the time I was there. One thing's for certain, a lot of changes were made, but a few places remain unchanged. It was a small town while I was there, and it's still considered a small town now, but it has definitely had some growth.

I don't know if it was from that visit, because it was almost a week later, but I started getting the symptoms of a little cold, so last week has been spent trying to keep it from getting really bad. Thank goodness it only stuck to the sinus area. During this time, we had our clothes washer develop an issue, and being the official person who washes the clothes in the house, that was quite the adventure. I had to send our clothes to a sibling's house while we waited for someone available to repair it (it was a minor item requiring fixing, so no need to get a new washer). It's small little instances like these that are great little reminders how grateful I should be to have good health and good cleaning resources.

The weather itself has been active. We've been getting rain/snow mixes a lot. That's quite normal for this time of year. We joke about that, that the weather changes every five minutes. For a long time I thought that joke was exclusive to where I live, but apparently it's a nationwide joke, so we're not being as unique with that humor as originally thought. I love the rain though. It does make things colder at this time of year, but it's still nice in the aspect that it helps the mountains green up, and in a really good year the mountains can remain green throughout June. I much prefer the bright spring green to the summer dried-out brown. The flowers are beginning to come out also, and I love seeing them covered in raindrops. I love Spring in general. It's so fun to witness everything waking up. Renewal of life is so beautiful!
