I was able to get much accomplished attraction-wise, having done nearly all (skipped out on Autopia) of the attractions by 10:30 or 11 a.m. Yes, that included Space Mountain as well as some time to eat. I was still full enough from breakfast that all I had for mid-day was a pretzel, but I was in the area where the piano player was playing at Refreshment Corner, so it was nice to stop and listen to him for a while. That, in addition to the Bootstrappers were on my list of things I don't normally stop to enjoy, and I did both that day. In fact, while watching the Bootstrappers, one of the guests got so much into the music that she started doing a dance for us. I love those impromptu moments. They had to reassure her that she wasn't getting paid for it though, LOL. I caught it on audio, but not camera. That would have been fun to watch again!
Pirates was only a 15-minute wait (didn't get to the tree house or Indiana Jones on this day), but noticed one of the jailed pirates was still missing of the threesome in the jail. I experienced a breakdown in the Haunted Mansion just as we were walking into the stretching room and were left waiting for a while wondering what was going on, but it was only a short breakdown. For those of us who stayed, it was a smooth ride afterward.
I stayed around Rivers of America that night for the fireworks, and a few minutes in, it dawned on me that they weren't showing the mixed magic show. I was getting a preview of the Wondrous Journeys show for the 70th! That made me so happy, because I would only be there on the first day of the 70th, and I don't always have good luck when I only have one night to see things. That was the best! I think that was when I finally felt like I'd arrived (the magic did its thing).
