There is a post on Pinterest that I absolutely love of Anna and Elsa sitting together watching in an almost childlike enthusiasm a butterfly that is resting in Anna's hands. I absolutely love that picture. It portrays something we all could use, not only a love of nature, but an appreciation of beauty in all things. I believe I've said it before, but I'll say it again. There's more to beauty that physical appearance. Some of the most beautiful people I've known are not not astoundingly beautiful in physical looks, but are beautiful through their genuine goodness.

I confess I, like many others, have dreamed about being beautiful, but I confess I never thought that was possible for me. For many of us, that is not going to happen, but we can all be beautiful the other way. My personal focus is on inward beauty, for there I have more control. This world ignores the importance of the inwardly beautiful: those who care, love, are polite, are kind and generous. It lacks and desperately needs these people!
Appreciate life. Love it. No matter what circumstances you may be in, this is possible. At a time when I was struggling with some heavy emotions about myself, I came up with this reminder to look for the good:
"The Sun Still Shines on a Rainy Day."
It may not mean much to others, but for me I am reminded to look at the good things in life.
Life will only go the way you choose to perceive it. If you choose to love it, you will love it. If you choose to go through it in pessimism, anger and see things through a cynic's eye, well, it's obvious you are going to hate it. We are not able to control everything that directly affects us, but we are able to control how we react to them.
Personally, I think learning to love life is the best way to go.
BTW: I've written my traditional Christmastime poem, not really Christmas themed, but it is inspirational and very religious themed. Check out the link to my writing blog above.
