Finding Peace

It seems like times like this it feels like no place is safe and perhaps in a lot of ways that may be the case, but I'm encouraged by the example of our Utah missionary who has been all over my facebook and in the media these days talking about his experience in the Brussels bombing.  His attitude has kept positive despite all of the burns and other treatments he is suffering with.  I am happy to have this example.  I don't know how I would react, but it is my greatest wish that I would keep just as positive by seeing the light through the darkness.  I've thought a lot about these situations for some time.  I don't want to scare anyone, but it has always been a deep impression in me that 9/11 was a mere warning of things to come...and now I'm seeing the truth of that beginning to unravel.  So the question I've been asking myself over and over again is, "How can I be at peace among a world of chaos?"

It seems like a complicated answer and may be even more complicated for those who are trying to deal with it as agnostics or atheists who solely count on the logic and physical evidence of this world to figure out how to achieve it.  Some may think it would be an impossible accomplishment, but I disagree.  Peace is available to all who seek it.  It may take a lot of work and a great deal of vision, but it is always there.

I find it to be quite a simple thing actually, but it is more of an inner peace rather than an outward.  Are there any regrets you have in your relationships?  Are you at peace with yourself?  For all of us who are religious, are you at peace with your standing before God?  If so, you have no need to fear whatever comes your way.
