The Adventure Begins

To tell you I was more relaxed than last time since I did the same thing before would be a lie.  Anticipation anxiety never goes away, no matter how often something has been done.  The only choice I had was to face it and deal with it.  There is no sense in going through all of the routine things that go into travel.  There were no complications getting to the airport and going through the process (thank goodness).  I was there a couple of hours early and it was a really busy day, but even with that, nothing eventful happened.  Even the flight and getting to the hotel had nothing.  Not much for story telling so far.

I had a choice about whether to use my parks ticket this evening or Saturday morning, as they would both only be partial days.  I was tempted to go that evening, but remembering what happened last time--totally zonked out for several hours--I wasn't sure I would be up to it.  I decided on staying at the hotel that evening and exploring it one more time since they made changes to it since I saw it last, but I must express the delight I found when I noticed that my balcony in that corner of the hotel was quite secluded because of the trees that blocked the view of many of the other rooms in the area, and the monorail was partially hidden also.  I wasn't in a location where I could see the fireworks like last time, but I was delighted with the view well enough that it didn't matter.
The Grand Californian Hotel is quite expensive.  I was making monthly payments to be able to go there, and some people find it a waste of money, because they only use the hotel for sleeping, but I find that I enjoy utilizing the place during the day time, so it's not a waste for me.  The decorations there were a delight to walk around and look at.  There was an outside overlook or viewing area I discovered last time overlooking the swimming pools that I really like, because hardly anyone went there, and for an introvert that is an ideal location.  I found a perfect spot there looking down into the hall where the Christmas tree was and watch everything going on at floor level.  I also had to take a tour of the grounds in the courtyard.  That was one of my favorite quiet places also.

My newest discovery was a wall of windows--there's actually an overlook there also, but it must be private or reserved, because it was locket up--that were in a perfect position to see the sunset.  I was hoping to get a good sunset picture, and it was so perfect!

I loved just wandering around and looking at everything, but eventually, my energy drained, and I was exhausted enough that I went to sleep really early in the night.
