Perspective

When you start your day by waking up from a dream chuckling a little, because some guy was trying to sing something with a Chewie voice, you know this one's going to be an interesting one. Am I the only one who has entertaining dreams like this? I love it when this happens.

NOW TO THE TOPIC: Someone on Twitter tweeted the old question of whether her followers (and others who might see it) if they were a half glass empty or half glass full kind of person. For those out there who aren't English (as first language) speakers or live in cultures where this isn't a common image, I'll explain as best as I can what this means. A picture of a glass cup is shown to us with a liquid (usually plain water) is in the cup, but it only fills half of the cup. Depending on our perspectives, some of us will say we see the cup half-empty and others will say we see the cup as half-full. The point behind all of this is that depending on how we see that cup depends on whether we are a pessimist or an optimist, i.e. half-empty=pessimist and half-full=optimist.

I came across a meme some time ago that I found to be an interesting point. Most people would choose between the two, but did you know there's a third option? That is, there's a third according to this meme. It was a picture of the same glass, but the point of it was that it was neither half-empty or half-full, but it was actually 100% full. It wasn't a matter of water. It was a matter of, scientifically speaking, matter, two different kinds that is. 50% of the matter is water, and 50% of the matter is air. That adds up to 100%! Full cup! So you might say that since I now see this after discovering the third option, I'm now an ultra optimist. LOL.

There might some truth behind all of this. Anyone who's read my posts recently knows that there were some difficult things I'd been dealing with in the past few months, and even this weekend was extremely taxing on me having to juggle between taking care of two people with physical needs and other jobs needing to be done, but you know what? I'm still seeing that 100%. There's such an amazing support coming from who knows where that's helping me keep it up.

As a little extra bonus I have another chance to get out of the house to see a musical of one of my favorite children's stories, The Secret Garden. I've seen the musical before, but it's been a while. Meanwhile, I have a Facebook friend who loves to go to Disneyland who's been wanting to set up our own little meet and greet there. I'll have to see how that works out as I need to figure out how my finances are going before I can figure that one out. I always end up getting a good story to tell out of that place.

It's all different, but things are still looking up. My cup's 100% full everyone! I might not see it, but it's there nevertheless. Here's to full glasses!
