I finally got to meet my friends, and we went all over it seemed. One particular friend is friendly to everyone. She told me that she never meets a stranger. That's an amazing perspective. She was a talker and didn't mind if I didn't have a lot to say (in fact said that it was a good thing there were quiet people to balance out the talkers like she was), but because it's such a comfortable situation, talking was easier to do.
We spent a lot of time wandering around and doing a few rides, and somehow ended up finding ourselves dining in one of the reservations only places. That was entirely something I didn't expect to experience. I don't like doing those, because I don't like people fussing over me and giving me that kind of attention. Because I wasn't alone this time, I was fine with it. My friends picked up the bill for both this and supper, so I didn't have to pay. That was so generous.
I saw a few characters out and about in DL, but always in situations when I couldn't meet them. I saw Geppetto while having breakfast, Redd (the female pirate) passing the window while having lunch, Jack Sparrow while trying to get to Main Street from New Orleans Square, and the evil queen meeting with her loyal servants while leaving to go to the other park. One of the CMs at Snow White today told me while I was waiting that I looked just like (I think it was Aurora, but I didn't quite catch the name), because of my light blonde hair. Some have told me that before as another choice besides Elsa. I know the blue eyes played a part in that also. I'm a character in my own right. 😁
I didn't get as many photos due to my trying to pay attention to my friends, but I caught a few. In fact, I was shooting a photo where the ducks were flying and I caught a shot of one in mid flight. I may have made an audible cheer over my success.
By the time I was leaving to go to the other park, I was already getting tired, so there wasn't much I wanted to do (thanks to the little time I rested on a bench, I got to wave at Judy and saw Nick just before they exited). I got the opportunity to have my first look into Marvel Land, and the first impression was unenthusiastic. I felt a little like a fish out of the pond. Now, I'm more of a Grizzly Peak type person. I like being surrounded by trees and flowers and/or water. It didn't do much for me. Had I been a fan, perhaps it would be more interesting. I'll have to check out the lighting and see if that improves my visual preferences. I like lights.
Speaking of lights, we got to end our evening with the World of Color. The mix of lights and the amazing mists blowing my direction were heavenly. The person next to me might have caught me singing a tune or two if they listened closely.
That ended my day with my friend, but it was extremely enjoyable, and I found myself being extraordinarily cheerful by the end of the day, even to the point that watching the CM shouting out the instructions to us at World of Color over and over again struck me funny, and I couldn't help but laugh a little. Such a redundant job, yet it made me crack a smile, so take note to those CMs out there, even with the mundane jobs, you still have a chance to make someone smile.
