Total Flip

I had no idea when I woke up this morning with my sore legs how it was going to end. I didn't know if I was going to make it. We were running all over yesterday and clearly my legs weren't prepared for it. Yes, it was the legs as well as the feet.

I started off with a few simple rides and progressed from there, eventually leading me to the Racers ride in Cars Land where I ran into a few people I was standing in line with the day before in the Peter Pan ride. That was nice to see some familiar faces--we waved to each other. I went on rides here and there, but by mid day I was getting tired of trying to do that. I started watching for characters, but unfortunately, by the time I was in the mood, it was at the wrong time for their schedules.

I did a lot of sitting to charge up my phone (probably myself as well 😁), which was about to die,  and I did my random walking that I love to do. Lo and behold, during one of my wanderings, suddenly out of nowhere popped Cinderella. She saw that I was wearing a similar color of blue and commented on it.  She told me I looked ready for the ball. That was a fun little interaction and it cheered me up quite a bit. I've been wishing that I had a good moment with her since she was one of my childhood princesses. After I was done interacting with her,  I looked back and saw both Elena of Avalor and the evil queen coming toward me. I was surrounded! I didn't wait for them though. It was a small walkway and they looked like they were headed somewhere. A little later they were too busy interacting with others to even know I was close, but it's always fun to see them at work. I also ended up being on Main Street when both the Mickey and Friends and the Frozen calvacades passed. That was fun to see. I wasn't quite sure if I'd like those, because I love the music and watching the people dancing during parades, but surprisingly, I enjoyed these little moments. I didn't pay close attention to the times, so they always felt spontaneous, which attracted my attention a little more. It was fun way to see the characters as well. It wasn't the first time seeing Cruella, but perhaps the first time seeing a clearer view of her at work being her usual self.

I was trying to take it easy, but as always I got carried away enough to start getting the ache back into my feet. I put up with a lot of aching for a while. I didn't have anything better planned, so I joined the first electrical parade, but I originally wanted the later one. I stayed for that, too and I'm so glad I did. It gave me a chance to rest, and my feet thanked me for it. They felt so much better after.

I was joined by a mother and her toddler daughter on one of the benches in front of the train station. I had quite a pleasant talk with her for a while. Her daughter ended up becoming everyone's pre-show entertainment.  I hadn't laughed so hard for such a long time, and while we were waiting for the parade, Mickey and friends stopped briefly to interact with us while exiting before the parade. That was as good as a meet and greet, so I guess I got my character interaction for the day.

When the parade started, there was a little girl across the street with a lighted up dress and crown as well as a few people next to me who had no fear of shouting out messages to the characters. That  normally bothers me (I don't like shouting in general), but this time became an exception. The characters and even a few of the non-people floats interacted with them in such an entertaining manner. I also loved how more personal it felt since everyone left after the early parade and we practically had the place to ourselves. I loved it.

So waking up not sure what I could deal with in the morning ended with a much lighter and happier vibe.
