Speaking of humor, my day started off in a bit of a comedic twist. I was wandering around Tomorrowland and looked down at my pants, and noticed that one of my leg pants was nearly up to my knee while the other was down where it was supposed to be. I'd been walking around Disneyland with that leg pant up for half an hour! LOL. Describes my day perfectly.
I wasn't into doing rides too much, so I decided to meet some new friends in Town Square. These were the characters I hadn't met on previous trips. First was Chip and Dale. Nothing eventful occurred, except I'm sure I heard a giggle.
Next up was Goofy. He gave me a hug on first meeting, and then when I told him it was my first time meeting him, he drew out a heart to me, and then stuck out his hand. I don't know what I was thinking (just a usual awkward move on my part coming), but I put my hand inside, and immediately knew that's not what he intended, but he was quick enough thinking that he bent down and kissed my hand and then got all shy about it, blushing and everything. That got me laughing, and now I have my own "goofy" look on all my pictures.
That didn't help when I got to Donald. He was all impatient with me, but I wasn't the one that got him stomping his feet. I hadn't given my phone to the CM yet, and Donald took it from me to give to him, but the trouble was that the CM was distracted by talking with others. I couldn't help but laugh at the situation. I was too busy laughing, so thankfully enough a lady in the conversation saw Donald's foot stamping and told the CM to pay attention.
Kind of a fun way to start out the day, I don't think anything super eventful after that happened, though I think I caught (Queen) Anna's eye once in California Adventure. I'm certain I saw her eyes following me when I was walking past. Most of the time I spent having generic friendly conversations with people in line, but in the long run I think that turned out to be part of my trip highlights. I've learned that it's less likely to feel lonely when I made the effort to interact with people, be it CMs or fellow guests, and the number doesn't matter so much as the interaction itself. On my first trip I only had enough interactions to count on my hands, but it made a huge difference. The only part about Tuesday and Wednesday this time was that with all of the interacting and physical exertion I'd worn myself out and got exhausted. I decided when it got to be evening I better listen to my body and get some rest. It felt super good to do nothing in the quiet and relax the rest of the evening.
Oh, and I think I found my place in Marvel Land. The little corner is the Ancient Sanctum where they hold the Dr. Strange shows. I really like this spot, because it very closely resembles those fantasy worlds that appealed to my imagination when I was younger. It's the ancient ruin vibe going there that appeals to me. It's not totally comparable, but one of my favorite movies while growing up was Dark Crystal, and I particularly loved the parts where Jen and Kira discover the ruins of their ancient ones. It slightly carries that type of vibe.
