There's good news! I have a neighbor who's been begging me to work for him since August. I tried to set things up then, but somehow there were communication issues. I think it was all for the best, because it was at that time when things started to get more difficult with the caregiving situation. There wasn't a whole lot of time for me to be able to focus properly the way they would want me to. My neighbor came back to me this week and talked to me about it. I guess he still wanted me. I got in contact with someone else he worked with that I was able to communicate with and I'm getting set up to help at this moment. It seems to be easy enough for me to understand, so I'm quite confident I'll pick up quickly. The best part of it is that it doesn't seem at this point to be a job that will create the kind of stress that will affect my creative tendencies. That's always a plus for me. I haven't been doing a lot lately, because needless to say there's a bit of distraction going on, but I did do one project earlier in the year for Christmas, and I'm glad I did. That way I have at least something to share for the holiday.
To all interested, here it is. It's a Christmas song I've always loved, but never really thought about singing until last year when I sang it with the choir.
