Sunday has always been my most favorite day of the week. I like it, because it is often the most quiet and still day, but even when it isn't, usually what I'm involved with are activities that don't feel quite so burdensome as the regular weekdays.
While I was staying with my uncle, I had a lot of time in the morning to relax, do a little reading, and put on some music. He had some Enya music, and I thought it was just right for the time being. Most of her music is ethereal, and I love it for that. It makes me feel like my soul is drifting gently along the skies with the clouds. That's probably the best way for me to put it anyway. So I put it on quietly while I read. It was most delightfully quiet.
My uncle took me on a walk to a park he likes to walk to on Sundays. I was excited to see it, after he explained to me that there was a pond there he liked to wander around and watch the ducks. Having recently lost a park that had a pond, I really wanted to see it. He took me there, and it is a beautiful pond! They had it well landscaped, and it was surrounded by flowers of multiple colors and species. Several of the plants were in bloom. There were others there enjoying their Sunday morning at the park, but for someone like me who has a little bit of a crowd issue, it didn't feel crowded. We could sit on the benches at the pond, and watch without feeling interrupted.
I went to church with him also, and nothing significant to mention there. We went back to his house afterward, and enjoyed an afternoon relaxing. I think we spend several hours in his backyard just talking on his swing and enjoying the cool breeze that was beginning to drift in as the evening got closer, and then my cousin came to visit for the evening meal.
What a delightful day!
