The First Character Visits

Ah, the morning after a full day of rain is a blessed thing!  I love the smells of wet grass after a good rain, but there wasn't much of that there at Disneyland; however, there was a pleasant smell and feel in the air that felt wonderful.  My first task of the day was to grab a fast pass for World of Color in the evening, but soon after, dropped in on a mental promise to make a character visit I was so much avoiding yesterday with all the crowds.  It turned out that when I visited only Anna was there, and I realized I should have checked the schedule first, but it was a pleasant visit and Anna was good natured about it all as always.

I went over to Disneyland and took care of business in Tomorrowland since the last time I came I didn't spend a lot of time there.  I went on all of the rides, and finally decided it was time to try out Hyperspace Mountain.  For some reason last time I was feeling shy about it and skipped it, but this time I went straight on and went for it.  I mentioned in my last visit that I am not really a fan of roller coasters and the Guardians ride, because I have a problem with the falling sensation.  I saw videos on YouTube showing different variations of this ride and since it appeared not to have any sudden drops, I was satisfied that I'd be ok with it.  It ended up being quite a fun ride.  I love wind blowing against my face and through my hair.  The speed of the ride made that happen and gives off a sensation of strength or power, so I was delighted.  Despite the delight, I did end up with a slight headache, but that may have pertained to the fact that I needed to eat.  For some odd reason, everything going on around me during the whole trip always made me forget, and I had to consciously remind myself once in a while to get something.

Lunch was had, and the question came up to what next?  I know I had already visited Anna earlier, but it was later and possibly both of the sisters were in, and remembering last time how fun it was, despite the fact that I was nearly mute that time, poor girls.  Last time everything was so new, and I was stuck in my little introverted ways of trying to figure out everything in my head about what was going on that my tongue was tied.  It seemed to me at that time it was good to have the girls I got, because they were very patient with me.  Perhaps it helped going earlier in the morning, because I knew what to expect, so my mind wasn't running as much.

As I'd hoped, both of them were there, and it was quite an enjoyable experience.  Naturally, the first thing they noticed was my hair.  That's always been my trademark, and I was asked if I was part of the Northuldra.  I guessed they were asking me if my hair was natural, so I told them I was, and they seemed excited about it.  They continued the friendly conversation, and as I was addressing a question by Anna, I could feel Elsa touching my hair, but I don't mind when people want to touch it.  No problem with talking whatsoever this time!  On taking pictures, I didn't want to stand there with my arms hanging down, so I decided last minute to put them behind the girls, and I guess I was caught in the middle of talking during the first picture (telling them abruptly that I was moving my arms), because I have a ridiculous look on my face, and Anna is laughing.  I didn't delete it, though my face is goofy.  It makes me smile.  Perhaps I will bring that out of the archives some day, but for now it's for my own personal entertainment.

That evening to use up the spare time between the visit and getting my spot for The World of Color, I had a couple of hours to go on a few rides and enjoy the music being played.  It was quite an enjoyable evening, and I really enjoyed the show.  I was close enough to get an occasional drift of mist and it was a beautiful thing.  I have to explain that there at Disneyland for some reason I find great delight in getting misted, whether it's hot or cold.  I just like the way it feels on my face.
