False Alarm

Yet another interesting start to my day. The comedy of errors continued! I was getting ready to go out, the fire alarm went off in the hotel. It stopped, but goodness talk about having your day jumpstarted!

I was actually completely delighted with these weather. It clearly rained overnight,  It had that delightful fresh cool air and blowing breeze. It was so perfect, though I think some locals here might have considered it cold.  I saw a lot of sweaters, but what an amazing day! I may have enjoyed the wind blowing against me entirely too much, if that's even possible.

This turned into my casual day as I enjoyed walking around and jumping on a ride or two if I was up to it. Monsters Inc. broke down at my first attempt at riding it, so I had to return later. I remember clearly watching Roz's eyes scanning our car, and for some reason or another I was the chosen one to be picked on: "Girl on the third row, nice hair." Everyone in the car looked back and stared at me. I imagine my face went a little red there. LOL. Even the animatronics....

Thank goodness the parades and calvalcades (and characters roaming) were happening, because I was down on my luck a little concerning meeting the characters. Either the meet and greet locations were closed (my social mood clock and the meet and greet schedules were out of sync), or I was somewhere else when they were out.

The evening was full of mishaps, which kept creating a domino effect on my evening. I had a few miscalculations on eating and such, so I ended up having to find something at last minute, leading to me missing out on getting myself into the crowd for fireworks, leading me to have to wander the roped walkways. It was a little sad while I was going through it, because I hadn't seen the Disneyland Forever fireworks show, and it was my only chance that evening, so I missed out on that, but now that I'm out of that funk, I think it was actually kind of fun to do the wandering. I missed projections , and the snow effects, but I got to see the fireworks, and I wasn't forced to stand in a cramped up space trying to see over that one person who decided to stand in front of me who was bigger and/or taller. I saved myself from having extremely tired cramped and achy legs that way, and I'd have to say it was awesome that I was able to catch a glimpse of the projections on the Matterhorn and see the fireworks right over my head during the finale.

In conclusion, just as the day began with drama, so did it end, but no harm done. Life in general has that way of swinging weird situations, but being all upset about it and throwing a fit doesn't solve anything, so working with it makes it worthwhile in it's own unique way.

This was my last day visiting,  so I bid the place farewell and will go back into caregiving mode rather quickly. It was nice being among people again.
