I've spoken about my sense of humor on a post a while back (see https://www.quietlifeobservations.com/2021/01/a-quiet-sense-of-humor.html), and now I have a few new prime examples. As you may recall, I spoke of a recent "sly maneuver" that I pulled. In fact, it was so sly that I didn't even realize I did it until later, and I started laughing when I realized the irony. It was one of my more subtle impish moves that deserves a little more attention.
It was on Friday. I was wandering around and noticed the Evil Queen was out visiting with guests at Snow White's wishing well, a common visiting area for her. I'd observed her enough to know that one of her tendencies for most of the passersby was to snap at them, and most commonly to call them, "trespassers" while they passed. So while I was standing at the end of the pathway, one of those weird ideas popped into my head and was brewing while Merida came up to us asking about whether or not those of us who were there had seen any little bears around. This is one of my prime examples of testing people with my humor: I got the idea of walking up the path and passing just to see if I'd be able to either sneak past without being called out or get the prestigious trespasser title. I already have a prestigious position (see https://www.quietlifeobservations.com/2019/12/the-enlightenment.html, but thought another challenge accomplished would be awesome 😁. So in all seriousness, I acted upon it, and...mission accomplished. The irony behind all of this was that I was pulling on her something similar to what she was pulling on me at our last meeting! I'm not sure if she picked up on that, but I'm certain she didn't appreciate it whatever the case. People have always teased me about my tendencies to pull conniving moves like that.
There were three girls behind me who passed her after I did a minute or two later, and from what I could tell she railed on them in tremendous fury. One of them caught it on a recording, and they were hysterically laughing. It was worth being right there just to watch their reactions. I react differently to things, so I'm not sure I'm as fun for those CM actors (I retracted this statement on a later post:https://www.quietlifeobservations.com/2022/06/i-repent.html), but it is absolutely amusing to watch their interactions with others.
Prime example of my silly humor: Before all of this was in the memory book, I was sitting around with my family talking when a certain children's song was brought up (one of those ones that drive parents crazy), and it got stuck in my head. A few days later, an idea popped into my head while I was fixing food to feed my brother, and I started doing that song in creepy villain voice out of pure amusement. I made the "mistake" of recording it on my audio recording app while I was feeding my brother. It got me laughing so hard. I shared it with my family members. I found a few that found it just as hilarious as I did. My one brother said I missed my calling as a voice actor. Oh, well. I posted it on my YouTube channel. My sense of humor doesn't get out there often, but there it is.
