- January. A snowy month and ground work for the new high school advances into the western section of Spring Acres park, closing that section permanently.
- February. Going through papers, found an old envelope with locks of hair in it. Written on the back in my grandma's handwriting is a note identifying the hair as belonging to my uncle after a haircut when he was about a year old. This uncle was killed in an accident at the age of 10, so this was a beloved keepsake to preserve memory of him.
- March. Groundwork moves a little further east in the park and work on the new track is in progress.
- April. Decorated Mom's grave for Easter; It was still too cold to have the gravestone in. Spring flowers in bloom.
- May. New phone. Construction on the new high school track in progress.
- June. Went with Dad to decorate Mom's grave for their anniversary. First time attending patriotic carillon concert.
- July. Spring Acres Park closed permanently. Decorating Mom's grave for the fourth of July. We have a gravestone!
- August. Finally put up glass cabinet (Mom's last Christmas gift to Dad) to display his collection from artists in the Hopi, Navajo, and other miscellaneous tribes. (He served among them while in a church mission when he was young, so he developed an appreciation for their culture). High school track completed well enough for use.
- September. Spent a few days visiting family in the San Diego area, and traveling up to Anaheim for a visit to Disneyland.
- October. Chased a rainbow for several miles, even across county lines. It was fun! Experiencing the fun of being in a (partial) solar eclipse--just outside of the path. Visit to St. George to the open house, and to visit family.
- November. Second visit to Disneyland, this time with someone.
- December. First visit to Luminaria--local Christmas activity. First Church solo (click on O Holy Night Choir--the quality is low due to several reasons, but you can still hear it. Solo is located at 1:51). New Year's Eve traditional dinner (as my dad would have it), more commonly called, "The Pizza Pigout."
Well, it's a new year, and a fresh new page to write on. We'll see what adventure awaits!
