I've been MIA for several weeks, because we've had those weddings going on. July was extremely busy with the two holidays (yes, two: July 4 and July 24--Pioneer Day) and weddings. Both weddings were really hot. I would have thought I was spending my time up in the hot attic in the house again. At the same time, it was fun to spend time with family and have something happy to be involved with. Now I'm home and my neighbor is trying to make sure I'm keeping busy with work. I've also been trying to keep walking. There are still a few days when the motivation isn't there, but I'm still meeting my goal of trying to get out at least three days a week. I generally go on walks that are at least an hour long, so I still meet the so-called recommended hours for walking a week (which seems to be on the average of 150 minutes). I don't know if it's helping me physically, but I know it has always helped me mentally. I'm always seeking out the city parks and have discovered there are plenty within walkable distance.
There's construction going on nearby of a new high school, so that draws me out. I like to spy on the progress. Even though I've been trying to enjoy walks without a camera, sometimes, I can't help but take a few pictures along the way. My photos are never professional quality, but I enjoy doing it all the same.
It's all slow progress with making adjustments, but I knew it would be. My grandma always had a saying that I thought was unique for her, but I've heard it occasionally from others, so it must have been a popular saying at one time. It basically means live on, but it goes as, Keep on keeping on.
So on I go. Life continues, and the newest adventures await!
